Transportation
The Transportation Division is managed by Jim Gullett, Vice President Operations and George Frisco, Vice President Marketing. Jim joined CSG in 1999 and has 30 years experience in credit and collections, including 25 years in Transportation, representing hundreds of motor and air carriers. George has more than 40 years experience in finance and accounting in Transportation, including 36 years in the Airline Industry, and joined CSG in February 2005.
The management and staff of the Transportation Division recognizes the unique problems related to this Industry, including airline, trucking, rail, maritime, cargo handlers, and freight forwarders, as well as, the logistic complexities required to move passengers and freight successfully. As a result, we have put together a team of experts fully educated and capable of resolving receivable issues in a timely, professional manner.
Our staff understands the complexities of contractual agreements between transportation providers and their respective clients. For example, agreements are often not completely understood by all parties. Typically, discrepancies that arise between shippers, consignees and motor carriers can result in a freight bill which must be resolved. With respect to agreements between air carriers and their clients, agency debit memos or cargo invoices are often the result of contractual misunderstanding. Those discrepancies can impact the relationship between the Industry partners, and may go unsolved for many months. Quite often, CSG is asked to resolve aged receivables allowing the Transportation companies to manage their respective businesses.
Our expertise is a result of dedication to service and thorough training, coupled with a very low turnover of staff; therefore the experts assigned to your account will continue working with you.
